Exhibition Invitation - 18th July 2025

I’m delighted to invite you to my upcoming solo exhibition at Logan Art Gallery, opening Friday 18 July.

Ex Libris (from the collection of) Christina Lowry is a speculative archive of non-remnant taxidermy — an invitation to reflect on the animals we are losing, and the futures we are shaping together.

This work is deeply personal and layered: a convergence of photography, sculpture, and the imagined museum. I’ve been building these archives as acts of care, mourning, and kinship in the age of the Anthropocene.

Opening night:
Friday 18 July, 5pm
Logan Art Gallery, Queensland
Wembley Rd & Jacaranda Avenue, Logan Central QLD 4114
RSVP here.

All are welcome — I’d love to see you there.

If you can’t make the opening, the exhibition runs until 6 September, and selected works will be available online soon. 1,000 handmade clay skulls will be available for purchase by $10 donation per skull to the Australian Wildlife Conservancy. Get in early to secure your favourite.

Thank you for walking alongside me on this journey.
Let’s continue to imagine other ways of remembering.

Warmly,

Christina Lowry BVA
